The networking and disk information will give the delegate the skills to backup a PC and should it fail at a later time, diagnose and fix the fault, then restore the backup.

Objectives:

By the end of the course delegates will be able to:·

Describe the hardware components in a typical PC and be able to replace them.·
Boot a PC and recognise the operating system and log in.·
Build small networks to facilitate the copying of files from one PC to another.·
Make backup images of hard disks and be able to restore them.·
Have a troubleshooting methodology to help when faults are less obvious.·
Use in-built and 3rd party diagnostic tools to assist in fault diagnosis
