Suitable For:

This course has been designed for staff who need to coach others on a ‘one to one’ basis for using specific functions of computers for their job. Many offices could improve their efficiency and effectiveness if staff were able to transfer their computer knowledge to others they work with on a day to day basis. Delegates will develop the core requirements for transferring knowledge and skills to others using computers.

Some pre-course work is required. Each delegate will need to prepare a 5 to 10 minute ‘one to one’ session to coach another in using a function of a computer package. This only needs to be a very simple function (e.g. printing a document in Microsoft Word)*. The purpose of the activity is to consider how the delegate approaches the task and analyse the learning that takes place as a result.
