Suitable for This course is designed for users who can design and build tables and queries for a relational database and who now wish to create a professional looking interface that make it easy for others to use their database application. Access forms and reports provide the interface while the Access user-level security ensures that authorised persons are controlled through the appropriate level of permissions. The training includes instruction in providing a switchboard menu, customised menus and toolbars and tips for good database maintenance.
Objectives
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- Create forms for interactive searching and the display of search results
- Build simplified forms and use forms within forms
- Create interactive combo and list controls on forms
- Use macros and simple Visual Basic to make forms interactive
- Implement Access user-level security
- Build a navigation system including custom menus and toolbars.
- Undertake regular maintenance and upgrades for their database application
