Is it right for me?

Delegates will gain the detailed knowledge and practical skills needed to integrate the UNIX system into a networked environment and to configure and manage the wide range of network services supported by UNIX.

It is suitable for delegates with a good knowledge of basic Unix commands and vi, user administration, permissions and process control. No previous networking experience is required.

• Explain how networking is deployed across Ethernet
• Explain Internet Protocol and configuration of the UNIX system for IP networking
• Use static and dynamic routing

• Setup Dynamic Host Configuration using the DHCP protocol
• Configure the DNS naming service
