Development Coaching
Development Coaching works on the basis that the Client is the expert in the aspect they wish to work on. The Coach uses their skills to enable the Client to discover and harness their own resourcefulness and to decide the outcomes that achieve personal and organisational growth.
Typical Aspects that you might ask us to work with you on include:
- Improving their Strategic Thinking
- Developing their Leadership Style and Impact
- Developing their Personal Impact and 'Brand'
- Influencing successfully in complex situations and organisations
- Setting their Career Goals
- Adjusting their 'Work/Life Balance'
We recommend a minimum of 6 coaching sessions to achieve progress.
This type of coaching is normally aimed at Senior to Middle Managers.
Performance Coaching
Our Performance Coaching aims to enhance the Client's performance more generally in their current role.
The purpose is to help develop and apply appropriate behaviours, attitudes and skills in order to improve their own performance and also that of their organisation.
The starting point is often 360 feedback, a preferred diagnostic (e.g. MBTI) or the organisation's competency model.
Typical subjects include:
- Defining required performance
- Determining key strengths and development needs
- Identifying and committing to clear motivating outcomes
- Changing behaviours based on feedback
- Optimising performance in the current role
Clients can be at any level in your organisation but are more likely to be Middle or Senior Managers.
Skills Coaching
Our Skills Coaching is based on the Coach being the expert in the subject or area that the Client wishes to address.
In effect the Coach acts as a consultant, helping the Client to learn the skills or knowledge they need to improve their Performance.
The Client will identify realistic opportunities to apply their learning and to practise their improved skills. They will then review their progress with the Coach at the next meeting.
Clients can be at any level in your organisation.
Typical subjects include:
- Personal organisation and planning
- Improving personal impact
- Preparing for an important Presentation
- Designing a Sales Planning Process
- Improving productivity of meetings
The number of Coaching Sessions will depend on the performance improvement desired and the subject matter. We will agree this up front.
